Teaching and Learning English: Challenges and Perspectives

Second international conference of ARDAA

June 23-25, INSPE de l'Académie de Paris – Molitor Campus

The French Association for Research in English Learning and Teaching (ARDAA ardaa.hypotheses.org/) aims to promote and disseminate research in the field of Second Language Acquisition and English Language teaching. Its objective is to provide a central and gathering place for researchers and every actor in the field. It also aims to contribute to the development and improvement of the learning and teaching of English in every educational context (primary / secondary / higher education), as well as outside institutional settings, and to work for the defense of the interests of English didactics in France.

For its second international conference, the ARDAA is partnering with the INSPE of Paris and the RREEFor Research Network (GIS RREEFor). Following the TeachLEng 2024 conference, this new edition will take place in Paris from 25 to 27 June 2027.

Paris INSPE

The Paris INSPE (Institut National Supérieur du Professorat et de l'Éducation), a school of Sorbonne University, is a higher education institution dedicated to the education and professional development of teachers, education professionals, and teacher educators. It carries out research and training activities in the fields of education sciences and subject didactics, fostering close links between research, professional practice, and pedagogical innovation.

Located in the heart of Paris, the Paris INSPE provides an ideal setting for exchanges among researchers, teacher educators, and practitioners. Its strong commitment to advancing research in didactics and promoting its dissemination within the educational community makes it a particularly fitting venue for the ARDAA 2027 Conference.

RREEFor Research Network (GIS)

The RREEFor Research Network (Groupement d'intérêt scientifique – Réseau de Recherche en Éducation, Enseignement et Formation) brings together research laboratories, universities, and INSPEs involved in research on education, teaching, teacher education, and subject didactics. It promotes scientific collaboration, the development of joint research projects, and the dissemination of knowledge within the academic community. As a partner of ARDAA 2027, the RREEFor Research Network contributes to strengthening exchanges among researchers and to enhancing the visibility and impact of research in didactics and education.
